Onomatopoeia Art 

Exploring Comic books and Pop Art!

Student Objectives:

  1. Students will learn about ELA and Onomatopoeia's. 

  2. Students will analyze the Artist Roy Lichtenstein comic book and pop art. 

  3. Students will create their own comic onomatopoeia art clouds by following step by step directions.

Vocabulary: Primary Colors, Contour Lines, 

Ben Day Dots, Comic Book Art, Pop Art, Space, Composition. 

Mediums: 9 x 12 Paper, Bingo Dotters, Glue, and Scissors. 

Silhouette Concentric Paintings

Exploring Color Mixing and Color Theory!

Student Objectives:

  1. Students will learn how to create a silhouette painting. 

  2. Students will learn how to mix primary colors to create secondary colors. 

  3. Students will learn different types of brushstrokes. 

Vocabulary: Primary and Secondary Colors, Horizon Line, Contour Lines, Shapes, and Silhouettes.

Mediums: 12 x 18 Watercolor paper, Acrylic paints.
